We offer 2D, 3D, and 4D scans. You can also add HD live to any of these options for enhanced image quality.
- . 2D scans: These are the standard black and white images you might see at the hospital. They show length and width (two dimensions).
- . 3D scans: These create a three-dimensional model of the baby, often with a golden appearance.
- . 4D scans: This is a moving 3D image, like a short video clip of your baby.
- . HD and HD Live: These are upgrades to 3D and 4D imaging, respectively. They use advanced technology to provide clearer images with more detail, like skin tones and shadows.
Ultrasounds have been used safely for over 40 years with no known risks. For the latest information, you can refer to the Fetal Medicine Foundation and the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society (BMUS).
You can have a 3D/4D scan anytime during your pregnancy, starting from 14
weeks. However, the best pictures are usually between 26 and 30 weeks.
Other factors like baby's position, amniotic fluid amount, and your BMI
can also affect image quality. Scans outside this timeframe can still
yield good results.
• We recommend scheduling your scan at 26 weeks for twins.
• If your placenta is located at the front (anterior placenta), come
before 27 weeks for better image clarity.
You should be at least 7 weeks pregnant for an early scan to see the fetal heartbeat.
Gender scans can be performed with high accuracy starting at 15 weeks. If the baby's position isn't ideal for viewing the gender, you can reschedule the scan for free. You can also choose to receive the gender results in a sealed envelope.
